Grunt Pork is a family-owned business proudly operated by us, John and Lauren Dowling, based in the Riverina region of New South Wales, where we live with our three children.

We started out raising our own pigs, but like any good story, ours has grown. These days, we are working alongside a trusted network of Aussie pig farmers who care about their animals just as much as we do. All our pork is proudly Australian — honest, high-quality meat that we’re proud to turn into the smallgoods you know and love.

At Grunt Pork, we handcraft small-batch pork products with care, using traditional techniques and time-honored methods. From our signature Aussie bacon to kabana and classic smoked goods, every product is made with pride and purpose.

In 2021, we proudly welcomed Codemo Smallgoods — a much-loved Griffith institution — into the Grunt Pork family. We’re honoured to continue their rich tradition of crafting authentic Italian-style salami and smallgoods for a new generation.


While we’ve stepped back from home deliveries, we now focus on supporting local businesses to bring Grunt Pork to your community. You’ll find our products stocked in a growing number of independent supermarkets, butchers, and specialty grocers across regional New South Wales and Victoria.

We are also thrilled to be working towards opening our very own shopfront in Leeton — giving locals a direct way to enjoy Grunt Pork, straight from the source
